Acne & Breakouts

Acne & Breakouts

You haven’t failed. You’ve just never been diagnosed properly.

The Acne That Won’t Go Away

You’ve tried the creams. The facials. The antibiotics.

You’ve been told it’s “just hormones” — or that you’ll “grow out of it.”

But every time you think it’s getting better, the breakouts return.

At Harmony, we specialise in treating acne that doesn’t respond to quick fixes — because we don’t guess.

We diagnose.

Why Most Acne Plans Don’t Work

Most acne treatments fail because they start at the wrong point.

Instead of asking why your skin is inflamed, they throw products at it — harsh acids, antibiotics, “acne-safe” skincare — without ever checking whether your skin can actually tolerate it.

At Harmony, we follow the correct clinical sequence:

  1. Barrier first. Can your skin tolerate treatment?
  2. Inflammation next. What’s driving the flare?
  3. Then structure, texture, pigment — only if the skin is ready.

Acne isn’t about scrubbing harder. It’s about understanding what stage your skin is in — and responding to it properly.

The Types of Acne We Commonly See

Not all acne is the same. At Harmony, we treat:
  • Hormonal breakouts along the jaw and chin
  • Deep cystic acne that never surfaces
  • Fungal acne mistaken for clogged pores
  • Acne in skin of colour (often misdiagnosed or overtreated)
  • Acne after stopping the pill or steroids
  • Inflamed skin with acne and sensitivity
  • Breakouts triggered by the wrong products or facials

What We Do Differently

We don’t start with peels or prescriptions.

We start with a diagnostic consultation — because without diagnosis, you’re just guessing.

Using:

  • Vectra 3D imaging to map breakout patterns, congestion zones, and structural stress
  • Sylton scans to assess oil flow, inflammation depth, and sensitivity levels
  • Blood tests where relevant — especially in cases with hormonal or metabolic involvement

We build a profile of your skin that explains why it keeps reacting — and what it needs to stop.

Your Personalised Acne Plan

Once we’ve diagnosed the type and driver of your acne, we build your plan step by step.

Every plan is unique, but here’s what’s often involved:

Barrier Repair

Before we go near actives, we stabilise your skin. No over-stripping. No guesswork. Just calm, controlled recovery. This phase may include:
  • Electroporation with barrier-restoring serums
  • LED light therapy to reduce inflammation
  • Topical resets to remove irritation triggers

Inflammation Control

We address the internal and external drivers of acne — gently, in sync with your skin’s pace. Tools may include:
  • Exosome therapy
  • Low-level laser
  • Supportive supplements (only when clinically indicated)

Clearing Phase

When inflammation has calmed, we begin clearing safely and effectively. Depending on your case:
  • Aviclear (Harmony-approved and FDA-cleared)
  • Enzyme or acid treatments (if skin is strong enough)
  • Extractions only if required, and only by trained hands

(Later) Scarring & Pigment

If texture or pigment remain after clearing, we’ll address it — but only when your skin is ready. That may include:
  • Microneedling RF
  • Advanced resurfacing (when stable)
  • Topical pigmentation correction

Verified Google Review
“After years of antibiotics, Harmony was the first clinic to actually explain why I had acne — and what my skin needed to get out of survival mode. I saw results within weeks. But more than that — I felt seen.”
